The Tomavistas Extra festival is something like the little brother of the Tomavistas Festival. Both festivals are held in Madrid. Tomavistas Extra was born after the months of confinement due to the worldwide pandemic of the coronavirus, in 2020.

It wanted to offer a unique experience to the public and revitalize Madrid's cultural offer.

The main intention behind this festival was to give life back to the festival sector so that their jobs would not be endangered. It also wanted to help all the artists who had been left without performances due to the cancellation of their concerts and tours.

For this reason, a festival was born with a special awareness of the necessary security measures to be able to take place in a context like this. This is what defines Tomavistas Extra.

With two editions already in existence, it will celebrate its third edition this summer 2022.

Tomavistas Extra is also a sustainable festival. It is committed to the Sustainable Development Goals. Being held in a park with lots of vegetation, year after year they reinforce their actions in environmental sustainability.

Where will Tomavistas Extra be held?

The Tomavistas Extra Festival is held in the Enrique Tierno Galván Park, in Madrid. It is located in the southeast of the city and was inaugurated in 1987. The enclosure has the city's planetarium and an open-air auditorium, where events and concerts are held, as is the Tomavistas Extra.

It has an extension of 45 hectares and, for that reason, it is one of the best places to celebrate a festival like Tomavistas Extra. This way the attendees can be in an open place, respecting the security distance and all the other security measures against the COVID pandemic, something extremely important for Tomavistas Extra.

If you do not live in the city of Madrid, you are in luck because it is very easy to get to the city. There are different ways to get to the venue where Tomavistas Extra is held:

Plane: Madrid airport has connections with both national and international cities.
Train: Madrid has different train stations. Atocha is the main one and has high speed connections with Barcelona, Ourense, Zaragoza and Valencia.
Bus: You can also reach the city of Madrid by bus. There are different stations with connections to cities and towns in Spain.
City bus: once inside the city, you can use bus number 148 to get to the park.
